GEOBIA 2016 aftermath
NOTE: the videos of the GEOBIA 2016 presentations can be found here
From 14-16 September 2016 the GEOBIA 2016 conference took place in Enschede. It was a very successful event, with nearly 140 participants from about 35 countries discussing their latest research in object-based image analysis, and advancing the discipline, in particular in the conference theme items of solutions and synergies. The event was complemented by 2 pre-conference activities: a 1.5 day colloquium for young researchers, and a 1-day software training offered by Gold Sponsor Trimble, and which attracted more than 40 participants.
We would like to thank all participants for their enthusiastic contributions, the sponsors for their support, and all involved colleagues at ITC/ the University of Twente and in the different organization committees whose efforts made this event possible.
We have lots of great photos of the event – please see under About – Photos. The gallery grid looks a bit odd in places (some pics not showing completely). For that reason beneath each gallery grid you can find a download link to download all photos as a zip file (5 in total).
We are still working on the proceedings, the special issue in Remote Sensing, and on coupling the presentation videos with the Powerpoint presentation files, and will send updates of new developments.
We will also soon announce there GEOBIA 2018 will take place!
On behalf of the co-chairs,
Norman
